Games Can Be Cancelled due to severe weather conditions and will be rescheduled as per rule.
If it is a sudden event, the referee on the filed will make the decision. For ongoing weather conditions, City of Cangary and CMSA will make the call on their website or by email.
Air Quality Index Levels:
Living in Calgary we are not new to forest fires and high air quality Indices. Air quality index level 7 and higher is considered as High Risk as per Government of Canada Health Guidelines.
Rain or Snow
While light rain or snow or wind is not a big deal, severe condition can result in game cancellation. ONFIELD REFEREE will make that call.
Lightning Policy
"30/30" Lightning Rule:
When you see the lightning. Start counting time. If the thunder is heard within 30 seconds, suspend the match (Practice) for a minimum of 30 minutes. This is valid for "Every Thunder". We have to wait 30 min after the last Thunder heard.
THE REFEREE has the ultimate authority to cancel/Stop a game before or after the game started due to any conditions not mentioned above.

U10–U12 Games (Outdoor)
These games are played on community fields. Please go to the website of the home team to check for field closures. Club websites can be found HERE.
Field status will be updated by 4:00PM on week days and 8:00AM on weekends.Games scheduled on community (club) fields must be played unless the field is closed by the club via the club's website.
FIELDS OPEN MEANS: THE GAME IS ON
FIELD CLOSED MEANS: GAME CANCELLED
U13 – U19 Games (Outdoor)
These games are played on City of Calgary Fields. Check field status online HERE. Field status is updated by 4:00 P.M. on week days and at 9:00 A.M. and 1:00 P.M. on weekends.
Games scheduled on athletic park fields by CMSA must be played unless the field is closed by the City Parks Department via the field closure phone line or the website
